This week I finalized, the alpha channel creation for our actress and started working geo tracking and tracker removal on shot #4. For geo tracking, we are using Keen Tools, which is a plugin for compositing software that allows us match 3D objects movement with the background. I was working with a 3D model from TurboSquid, to track her back where we'll be putting the scars. I experimented with multiple nodes of this tool and got very promising results, although it's gonna need more refinements.

For the tracker removal process, I'm using the same technique I discovered a couple weeks ago, which makes the process faster, although because of the dynamic lighting changes I had to manually track the markers and on some frames extra paint work was needed.
We also decided to crop in on some of the shots, to show more detail of our work, but since we only shot in HD1080, we'd lose a lot of pixels by doing so. However, in Nuke, there's a node called TVIscale which basically doubles the resolution of the original footage. This is a very heavy computing process so we're only gonna use it when we're rendering out our final composites.
